CHILDREN - are welcomed for baptism at PVUC.

PARENT(S) - membership in PVUC is not required,   (though we do welcome it !)

PREPARATION - we provide written material on the baptism service;

                         an information evening is held on the Wednesday prior to the baptism;

                        we encourage attendance at several Sunday services to become familiar with PVUC.

GODPARENTS - are not required; but they too are welcome at the baptism service.

FEES ?   There is no fee for baptisms. During the worship service a voluntary collection is received.

PICTURES ?  We ask that pictures be taken after the service, not during it.

            PVUC now makes a video DVD of the baptism service. Ask Minister for information on this.

HOME BAPTISM?   Our expectation is baptisms will be held at church during a Sunday morning service.

                              In very special circumstances, (e.g. health) a baptism can be held at hospital or home.

DATES?  We usually have baptisms on the third Sunday of the month. Check with our Office.

DAY OF THE BAPTISM: After the baptisms, young siblings and children of extended families are welcome

                               to attend any of our Sunday School classes, or to stay with their families throughout

                               the worship service. Our Nursery is also available for infants. Parents are welcome to

                               acompany their children to either.
