The 2010 PVUC Bill Hearn Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, June 17 at the 4 Seasons Golf and Country Club in Claremont starting at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $125 and include 18 holes of golf, powered golf cart, lunch, chicken and rib dinner at PVUC, prizes and a $25 tax receipt. There is also a $25,000 hole-in-one prize sponsored by Sean Aune, The Investors Group.

Over the past 11 years the Tournament has raised over $236,000 to help local community groups as well as the outreach work of PVUC.

Thursday, June 18, 2009 was our 11th Annual PVUC Bill Hearn Memorial Golf Tournament. Money raised was used to support a wide variety of community groups as well as the outreach work of Pickering Village United Church. 

Proceeds of the 2009 Golf Tournament enabled donations to the following community outreach programs:

Child Find Durham Region, Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre, Cornerstone Community Assoc. Durham, Distress Centre Durham, Durham Mental Health Services, Durham Youth Centre, 1st Pickering Scouts, Frontiers Foundation, Gate 3:16 Outreach Centre (Oshawa), Girls Inc. Durham, Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre, Inter-Church Health Ministries, Inter-Church Refugee Support Group, R. S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre, Project Next Step, Rouge Valley Health System (Ajax-Pickering), St. Paul’s-on-the-Hill Food Bank, Salvation Army Food Bank, Whitby Community Garden, and the Women’s Multicultural Resource and Counseling Centre of Durham.
