SKATE AND SHINNY: Tuesday, March 21, 3 -4 p.m. at the Village Arena
(just south of Pickering High School)
Join us for pleasure skating on one half of the ice and shinny hockey on the other half. Helmets must be worn by all those under 18. Then it's back to the church for hot chocolate and a quick supper. Come and bring your friends and family!
 PVUC CAMPING WEEKEND: June 11-13, 2010: Our camping weekend for 2010 will beat the KOA (Kampgrounds of America) in Cookstown, Ontario, near the junction of highways 400 and 89, just over an hour's travel time from the church. It has cabins for 4 to 6 people and many tent and trailer sites. The campground features a pool, playgrounds, giant chess/checkerboard, basketball court, beach volleyball, mini golf, modern washroom facilities and recreation hall. Information and pictures are available at: www.koa.com/where/on/55252 Costs: Cabin rentals: $74/night for a 4 person, $86/night for a 6 person; Tent site: approx $30/night; Trailer site: approx $40/night, (all plus additional fee for hall rental). As the campground is a busy one, we need to move quickly. We have made a reservation, but deposits are needed in order to hold a site for your family. Please speak to David Kai or Marly Bown ASAP if you would be interested in coming to our PVUC Camping Weekend in this new location.
In connection with the weekend, also please come out to our CAMPING REUNION on Saturday, March 27th at 5 p.m. This is for all who have ever been on a PVUC camping weekend and for those interested in this year's camp.
PAST EVENTS
 CHILDREN'S SATURDAY MATINEE MOVIE: "UP"
was held on Saturday, February 6th, 1-3 p.m. in the chapel, featuring the Disney movie, "UP". Parents were welcome to enjoy the movie, relax outside the chapel, or to drop off children and run some errands if children are registered for Sunday School. We will be having another movie matinee soon; check back for details.
