The 2010 PVUC Bill Hearn Charity Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, June 17 at the 4 Seasons Golf and Country Club in Claremont.

Over the past 12 years the Tournament has raised over $260,000 to help local community groups as well as the outreach work of PVUC.

At the Sunday, September 26 morning worship service, the Golf Committee of PVUC distributed cheques totalling $11,750 to twenty community groups. The groups receiving donations are: 1st Pickering Scouts, the Brain Tumour Foundation, Child Find Durham, Durham Mental Health, Cornerstone Men's Hostel, Durham Refugee Support Group, Frontiers Foundation, Gate 3:16, Girls Incorporated Of Durham, Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre, Inter Church Health Ministries, Charles H Best Diabetes Centre, Durham Distress Centre, Durham Regional Cancer Centre, Project Next Step, Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Hospital, Salvation Army Food Bank, St. Paul's On The Hill Food Bank, Durham Youth Housing & Support Services, and the Whitby Community Garden.
